LB x Tunnel Bluffs Hike!

PLEASE RSVP @ https://www.facebook.com/events/414572452721402/

In today’s world of chaos and constant stimulation, it’s hard to quiet the mind and have a moment to ourselves. Tunnel Bluffs (also known as Tunnel Point Trail) is a hike trail near Lions Bay which offers an opportunity through a fun adventure-hike to seek some silence and clarity.

Join us for this awesome “field trip”! LeapBodies will guide you through the Tunnel Bluffs together. Treat it like a mini-hike, it’s just much funner with us!

9:00AM - Meet at the viewpoint parking lot off sea-to-sky hwy by 9:00am sharp! Parking lot DOES fill up so try to be early!

1:30PM - Duration of the hike and exploration of the Tunnel Bluffs averages about 4.5 hours so please plan accordingly!

Difficulty: Intermediate

Distance: ~8kms roundtrip

Elevation Gain: ~650 meters

Estimated driving time from Vancouver: 45 minutes ~

Dog friendly: Absolutely!

Trailhead Coordinates: 49.484968, -123.247973

Directions: “Getting to the trailhead is a bit tricky for Tunnel Bluffs, as you have to park on the southbound pullout off the Sea to Sky highway. You then have to run across the highway to the trailhead on the northbound side of the highway.

Heading from Vancouver, the parking lot is about 3 km north of Lions Bay. You will cross over a small bridge over a creek marked “M”, and the parking lot is about 100 m further. However, you will need to drive about 1 km past the parking lot before you can get to a turnaround point. If you reach Porteau Cove, you’ve gone too far. Turn around when you can and pull into the parking lot. It will be marked as a rest area/ viewpoint. The lot has 24 parking spots and there are usually plenty of spaces available to park.” (Credit: https://www.outdoorvancouver.ca/tunnel-bluffs-hike-lions-bay/)
